Black and white exploitation film from 1963 believed to be the first feature film to tell the story of real life serial killers Charles Starkweather and Caril Fugate. Although a number of films were eventually inspired by the duo, including Badlands (Terrence Malick, 1973) and Natural Born Killers (Oliver Stone, 1994), mainstream Hollywood would not produce films inspired by the pair until a decade after this one.
