Synopsis
This underrated 1960's-styled Italian horror film, starring Joseph Cotten and an excellent Rosalba Neri (under the pseudonym of SaraBay), begins with the retelling of the classic tale. But when Baron Frankenstein is killed by the monster he creates, his daughter (Neri), eager to follow in her father's footsteps, vows to continue on with his experiments. As the monster reeks havoc on the countryside, the lady Frankenstein falls deeply in love with her father's aging assistant, Marshall, culminating with a daring experiment of their own - the transplant of Marshall's brain into the fresh corpse of young man. A complex and creepy tale about the length's one will go for love.
